The Dangers of the Fly is an educational film made by Ernesto Gunche and Eduardo MartĂnez de la Pera, also responsible for Gaucho Nobility (1915), the biggest blockbuster of Argentinean silent cinema. De la Pera was a talented photographer, always willing to try new gadgets and techniques. This film experiments with microphotography in the style of Jean Comandon's films for PathĂ© and it is part of a series which included a film about mosquitoes and paludism and another one about cancer, which are considered lost. Flies were a popular subject of silent films and there are more than a dozen titles featuring them in the teens and early twenties.

Tommy Robinson goes on the offensive by documenting how his own âhit pieceâ on his character was being constructed by the taxpayer-funded BBC for their popular investigative news special âPanorama.â In the film he manages to capture footage of the blackmailing of his former employees to invent stories, along with an organizationâknown as âHope not Hateââon set with the BBC, intimidating ex-employees of Robinson during interviews. The host of âPanoramaâ at the time of filming is caught on camera casually using racist and homophobic slurs during a ÂŁ220 champagne lunch with the same ex-employee they had planned to coach for a fake interview in which the BBC would possibly edit in which to make it appear as, âa gender, a sexual thing against Tommy Robinson,â according to the host. Within 24 hours of releasing the film, social media giant Facebook made a public statement of their own and removed Tommy Robinsonâs accounts permanently.

Shortly thereafter, this Texas father was arrested by the FBI, tried, and imprisoned based on statements made by his son, Jackson, a 19-year-old young adult who watched with horror as his father became radicalized. Over four years, the documentary follows the evolution of this family, which, like the country itself, is torn apart and no longer understands itself.
