Four Brazilian friends meet to reflect on the importance of the friendship network they built from being immigrants in Argentina. Drawn by nostalgia, they travel a sensory path to their roots and, through food and dance, they explore the challenges and satisfactions of living in another country.

"Saudade" is a much stronger feeling than simply missing someone. It's a deep nostalgia, with a giant affection. It's the feeling of wanting someone to be close, it's a look at the past with love. "Saudade", such a unique and particular feeling, in this documentary, people talk about their biggest longings in their lives.

International success has put the heart-rending melodies of the morna, the Cape-Verdean blues, firmly on the world music map. At once generous and secretive, swaying to the rhythms of the waves, this film is made in the image of Cesaria Evora, the unchallenged queen of the morna.
