The story takes us on a journey of tributes to the greatest bandoneon player of Buenos Aires, Aníbal Troilo, through interviews, musical sequences, dance and the powerful presence of football. The film intertwines fiction and testimonies to reveal to us a brilliant musician.

In a near-future Los Angeles where space travel is becoming common, a young couple faces their last day together after Lisa is selected by NASA for a life-changing mission. Torn between love and ambition, they try to make peace with the distance her choice will create.

The footage for this piece was recorded on three simultaneous mini-DV cameras, each with a slightly different view of the action. The results were later used as part of a live VJ performance by Jeff Mission at a tango night held at the Zeitgeist Gallery in Cambridge, MA. At age 42, Rafael Belvedere is having a crisis. He lives in the shadow of his father, he feels guilty about rarely visiting his aging mother, his ex-wife says he doesn't spend enough time with their daughter and he has yet to make a commitment to his girlfriend. At his lowest point, a minor heart attack reunites him with Juan Carlos, a childhood friend, who helps Rafael to reconstruct his past.

Coffee Masters is a documentary by Miguel Kohan, produced by Lita Stantic, Gustavo Santaolalla and Walter Salles. It tells the story of great tango of the old guard who, summoned by a rock musician, proposing a record to demonstrate its validity. This adventure, full of memories, humor and poignant moments, culminating with a presentation of the Masters at the Teatro Colon.
