It all begins with western riders coming down the main street of a town that looks a lot more urban than the usual town you see in western movies, with building facades of stone, even though the streets are dirt.
The War Bonnet Round-Up

Filmmaker Peep Puks has directed 61 documentaries and created almost 40 programmes for television. In this film, he looks back on a lost time, the films that have accompanied him, and the colleagues without whom this all wouldnât have happened. The Story Of Peep Puks

It depicts the daily lives of people whose job is to chase away cormorants that eat fish from a fish farm near Donji Miholjac, Croatia. Cormorants are protected by law and their nesting grounds are located across the border, in Hungary, which gives the protagonistsâ efforts a Sisyphean, absurd.
The Cormorant Scarecrow

"Going through my mini DVs shot over the past decade, I rediscovered a forgotten night sequence of Chantal Akerman and Sonia Wieder-Atherton leaving a brasserie where we had dined together in Montparnasse. The excerpt stayed with me for a while. This prompted me to focus on Chantalâs sound work in her films and her very close collaboration with cellist, Sonia Wieder-Atherton with whom she made more than 20 films. And, since New York, Paris and Moscow were places the three of us had in common, I intertwined some of my images with hers."
Son chant

A short documentary portrait of a 51 year old man who lives near Sinj in Dalmatian hinterland. It's also a film about film, or more exactly, about the process of making a documentary film, in which the author and the protagonist fight for control over the story and content. It's not important who the winner of this battle is, because their joint effort to make a film represents a testimony about our differences and peculiarities. This film shows how the adventure of shooting a film can be utterly unpredictable, and also a great fun.
Love Thy Neighbour

Abandoned for two decades in the Colombian Andes, La Cumbre is an intimate portrait of the film-makerâs home told through the memories and presence of his grandparents, reflecting on the time they spent there with their family.
La Cumbre

In China, most of the young people in the countryside moved to the cities for better job opportunities. Only children and old people are left behind. They live around this river and this bridge. This dangerous bridge has not been repaired for 20 years. It seems that all the problems, the persons and the objects in the countryside have been forgotten.
Dangerous Bridge

The compilation film looks back on four decades of East German film production to mark the 40th anniversary of DEFA. Beginning with the founding event of DEFA on May 17, 1946, it continues with film clips from many test recordings of the first feature films after licensing. Well-known directors, screenwriters, actors and musicians accompany the historical newsreel and feature film excerpts and thus bear witness to the reconstruction work in the early post-war years. A documentary that reflects the diversity of DEFA productions in the film and newsreel sector.
