"Dedication" is the story of a maid working in a hotel who uses a black magic spell in the hopes of harnessing the talent of one of the hotel's frequent guests - an eccentric writer - and passing it on to her unborn son.

A stupid insect, at the lowest level of the food chain, endures its position as prey in the forest. But suddenly, the established order is overthrown. The insect provokes a sequence of accidents of increasing importance.

John's first independent work from 1989. Won Best of Fest Shorts at the Cinequest Film Festival, CA. The film is comprised of highly rendered drawings with very little moving parts to tell a complex story of relationships "gone to the birds".

Pitica is a little girl who lives by herself in an old war tank. While preparing a sandwich, she realizes there is a missing ingredient: a tomato. Therefore, she adventures into a dangerous forest in search of the fruit, unaware of what awaits her.

When Death knocks on old carpenter’s door, he tries to convince her to let him live a little longer.

Jack adheres strictly to his routine, as dictated by his phone. When a friend at work tries to free him, his phone fights back.

This short film is a diploma of a student of the Higher Art School of Vaclav Gollar. Its main theme is dreams, so the plot immerses the viewer in a fantastic world, devoid of the traditional logic of everyday life. The film uses several typical dream motifs that usually provoke panic in the sleepers. The characters find themselves in uncomfortable situations, and as the story progresses, the drama of the events increases more and more, exacerbating the chaos.

Independently produced cel-animated film produced by U. Manabuken of Kyushu University, with the cooperation of Manabuken at the time and volunteers from the Animation Research Institute and others. Completed in May 1984 after about 2 years of production. Total number of drawings: approximately 2,000. The work is full of passion for depicting the action of beautiful girls and effects such as explosions and rock splitting, and is a tour de force in terms of drawing and backgrounds, as well as experimenting with filming techniques such as double exposure, transmitted and incidental light, etc. The story, however, is forced, or should not be considered in depth.The extras include some of the settings and moving images, some of the lost cuts, test and play videos, doodles, etc. As the extras, it was introduced in the Dec 83 issue of the animation-related magazine Fan Road

A cryptic young creature takes the train from Dublin to Sandycove, confronting ideas of a splintered self-image, loneliness, and being seen in a fundamentally blind world.

The film is based on the classical painting by Vincent van Gogh. The painter wanders through the landscape of his paintings a watches scenes from rural life. In the end he gets invited to a country house where he sees the potato eaters. The suggestive film honours van Gogh’s handwriting but shifts it to black and white.

A character is inside a cubical room; there is a hole in the roof, which is too high to reach. But pushing on the walls distorts the room in various ways, always appearing to bring the hole closer while still leaving it tantalizingly inaccessible.

A young witch tries to find 'the oasis' and has captured a young man who knows it's exact location. But before he tells her where she can find this mystical place she first has to convince him that magic is in fact very real.

After attending a funeral, a man returns to a merry-go-round where he once cherished joyful moments with someone deeply significant in his life.

It’s a story of a girl dreaming of a fuller life. With the help of a kind stranger, she has to overcome her fears. Her trepidations may appear absurd but are far more serious in their nature.

A young girl's dreams of becoming a dancer are threatened. Her father searches for a way to help her continue dancing.
