It is a tragically beautiful cinema verite elegy dedicated to those who perished in the atrocities of September 11th, 2001.

9/11 was perhaps the defining historical event of the postwar era. Broadcast live around the world like horrifying theatre, it was a moment in history imprinted onto people's memories. "Historically accurate, narratively captivating, The New American Century is one of the best films about the facts behind the 9/11 attacks". Webster G. Tarpley "The New American Century is a stunning film. It should be seen as widely as possible, in cinemas, bars, clubs, at meetings and, of course, through the internet. I'm sure the film will continue to be a source of debate and political education for many years." Ken Loach. Massimo Mazzucco’s Inganno Globale (soon in English as "Global Deceit") presented all the major inconsistencies in the 9/11 official version, i.e. World Trade Center’s demolition, no Boeing at the Pentagon, etc., that lent credibility to the accusation by the so-called "9/11 Truth Movement" of the attacks having been an inside job. The New American Century presents the historical, philosophical, economical and political background, some of which is practically unknown to the general public, that seems to support such accusation by the 9/11 Truth Movement.

A unique and compelling account of the day that changed the modern world, captured by ordinary people who chose to pick up their cameras and film that fateful day.

On September 9, 2001, Commander Massoud, a hero of the Afghan resistance, was assassinated by two members of al-Qaeda posing as journalists. Two days later, the terrorist organization struck the United States. However, a few months earlier, during a visit to France, Commander Massoud had come to warn the West about the disastrous plans of al-Qaeda and the rise of the Taliban. He asked the West to exert pressure on Pakistan, a country that supplied arms, supported and sheltered the Taliban, but which was also a major buyer of French arms. He was not listened to.
